It's true. PMVpodcast is back. It was long ago, in 2013, that I first started up PMVpodcast. It ran from 2013-2018, 70 episodes, each featuring a live session from a different band along with interviews, local music news, gig listings and DIY chat. A number of things have influenced me to start up the podcast again. The big reason is that I've had to take down the old episodes, the platform I was using to host them has become defunct and I can't justify paying for it any longer. So I've seized on the opportunity to do what I've wanted to do for a long time which is to remaster and repackage the old episodes. So the new series alternates new sessions with remastered old sessions.

Leapfrog

I have been very slack with updates since the new year. I feel like I'm traveling with all momentum no motivation right now as I'm propelled forward, like a frog mid-leap, by all the projects I started many months ago. It's an odd arc to be caught in but not entirely alien to me. I have a number of big projects which are all about to be completed and burst forth in quick succession over the next couple of months so I'm not thinking much about what I'm doing or why, it's just work work work, hence it feels like all momentum no motivation. I get more excitement out of coming up with new ideas than completing them so despite the fact that some really massive, cool things are about to reach fruition, I'm actually looking forward to them being done so I can move on to the next thing. Just a little insight into my mind for you there. Now about that stuff. Next big thing to happen is the Waxx! debut album launch and tour. We will be playing at HMV, Norwich, on 4th March, think we're on about 2pm, and our album will be available through them exclusively for a week before we start touring it and selling it far and wide. New Yeeeeah

It's tempting to reflect on the year gone by, a brief look at the diary shows I put on or played 36 gigs last year (3 a month), 6 releases out and 3 more in the can, plus over £1k of royalties claimed and distributed to my artists, but I'd rather keep looking to the future. I'll be uapdating the 'Upcoming Gigs' section soon. In the meantime check out our latest release, Atok by MARLA on YouTube.
