It's true. PMVpodcast is back. It was long ago, in 2013, that I first started up PMVpodcast. It ran from 2013-2018, 70 episodes, each featuring a live session from a different band along with interviews, local music news, gig listings and DIY chat. A number of things have influenced me to start up the podcast again. The big reason is that I've had to take down the old episodes, the platform I was using to host them has become defunct and I can't justify paying for it any longer. So I've seized on the opportunity to do what I've wanted to do for a long time which is to remaster and repackage the old episodes. So the new series alternates new sessions with remastered old sessions.

Re-release Me

As devout followers of the anti-Church of Off with their Records, you know that we recently set up a Bandcamp page. You can still download all our music direct from us and that's the best way to do it, but if you prefer the platform that Bandcamp provides then we have that too. We do have new things in the pipeline but in the interim we are rereleasing out back catalogue for Bandcamp. This is more than just uploading the same thing to a different place, we really give a hoot about the way music is presented and experienced so all our releases are tailored to fir the Bandcamp format so that the music continues to have the artistic impact and cultural importance that it was devised to have. Ignore Me!- The Tangle web of intentions

A while back I announced with great aplomb that this website was moving. I had got my Wix invoice through and it wanted me to pay £300 to maintain the website. I'm making a whole bunch of changes to my infrastructure, including ditching Soundcloud and starting a Bandcamp so it seemed a good time to ditch Wix too and go back to Tumblr. All my websites were originally based on Tumblr because it's free. Unfortunately, because Tumblr was a filthy website full of lude pornographic content, certain people, particularly those using mobile browsers, couldn't access it. But that was way back when. These days, Tumblr has cleaned up its act and is now a viable alternative. So I went for it. Times they are a-changin'. Unfortunately, what I didn't realise is that I have a-changed too. Off with their Records is a bigger beast than it once was and trying to present my large catalogue of music on there in a pleasing way is not happening. I also noticed I can use Wix's free plan and it doesn't make a huge difference at all. I already own the domain through GoDaddy so the only issue is the Wix logo on-site branding, which I'm very happy to accommodate, and limited storage space so I'll hit a wall at some point when it comes my Wix playlist (if you you don't know what that is, check it out, it's right there on the home page, a little embedded audio player with exclusive content in it). So I'm back to Wix.
